“Richie” is an important name in the celebrity world, and Sofia Richie, the youngest daughter of singer-songwriter Lionel Richie, and the rumored girlfriend of the one and only Justin Bieber, decided to get that name tattooed on her body. Sofia Richie showed off her new tattoo on Instagram on September 10, and the design features the name “richie” inked vertically in a delicate black script behind her ear, on the right side of her neck.
This “richie” piece marks tattoo number three for Sofia Richie, who turned 18 just last month, and appears to be taking tattoo advice from her rumored boyfriend, Justin Bieber, who has more than 50 tattoos of his own…and counting. Just last week, the aspiring model debuted a tiny cross tattoo on her middle finger, which is suspiciously similar to the cross tat Justin Bieber had inked on his face last May, and a “13:4” tattoo on the back of her neck, a reference to the Bible passage 1 Corinthians 13:4, which reads, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
Sofia Richie’s latest tattoo on her neck was inked by celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy, of New York City’s West 4 Tattoo, and the delicate piece is strikingly similar to Ireland and Hailey Baldwin’s matching finger tattoos of their family name, “baldwin,” also done by JonBoy, back in July 2015. JonBoy took to Instagram to share photos of Sofia Richie’s tattoos, captioning the cross tattoo “faith,” and the “13:4” tattoo “love.” If you ask us, Sofia’s new “richie” name tattoo fulfills the perfect trinity: faith – love – family.
