Today is the Fourth of July and we decided to celebrate the Independence Day holiday Pop Star Tats style – by sharing with you folks some good old fashioned American flag tattoos! Flying an American flag outside your house is one way to prove that you’re proud to be American, but there’s no better way to show your support for the good ole U. S. of A. than to get an American flag permanently inked on your body. Check out these pop celebrities who have gone the extra mile and gotten patriotic American flag tattoos!
Danica Patrick’s Back Flag Tattoo
First up is NASCAR driver and model Danica Patrick, who sports a large American flag tattoo in the center of her lower back – “tramp stamp” style. When Danica decided to get inked, she apparently couldn’t decide what she loves more – being an American or being a race car driver, because she incorporated both of these things into her tat. Half of Danica’s back tattoo is a traditional American flag inked in red, white and blue, and the other half depicts the iconic black and white checkered design of a race flag. Danica’s American flag tattoo also features a pair of angel’s wings on either side of the flag image, and several yellow stars scattered around the tat.
American Flag Tat on Sammy Adams’ Bicep
Another pop celebrity with an American flag tattoo is Sammy Adams, the rapper, not to be confused with Sam Adams, the beer. Sammy Adams is definitely proud to be an American, and we know that because he has an American flag inked on the inside of his right bicep. Sammy’s tattoo is inked in gray and white and depicts a traditional American flag waving in the breeze. Lucky for us, Sammy Adams appears to be a fan of cut-off tank tops, so we get to sneak a peek at his patriotic flag tattoo as often as we like!
Is an American Flag Tat in the Stars for Obama?
There aren’t many pop celebrities out there with flag tattoos, but any celebrity who opts for an American flag tattoo in the future will be in good company, that’s for sure. And if tattoo artist to the stars “Bang Bang” McCurdy has anything to say about it, an American flag will soon be inked on the most famous person in America – Barrack Obama. When asked during a recent interview with New York magazine what celebrity he would like to tattoo next and what the artwork would be, Bang Bang responded: “Obama, an American Flag on his throat.
