Rumor has it that Little Mix band member Perrie Edwards is planning on getting her first-ever tattoo, and we are wondering if she will return the favor and get a portrait of boyfriend Zayn Malik inked! Just last month, Zayn honored his pop star girlfriend by getting a cartoonish likeness of her inked on the upper part of his right arm, and now that Perrie may decide to go under the needle herself, the pressure is on! If she decides against a tattoo commemorating their relationship, Zayn’s feelings may be hurt, but if she goes for it, she may regret it later on if the couple’s young love doesn’t last. What do you think? Will Perrie take a leap of faith and get a matching tattoo tribute to boyfriend and One Direction singer Zayn Malik’?
Jesy Nelson Reveals Perrie’s Tattoo Plans
Perrie Edwards currently doesn’t have any tattoos at all, and she hasn’t spoken out herself about her intentions in the future. It was fellow Little Mix band member Jesy Nelson who spilled the beans about a potential new tattoo for the singer. “Both Perrie and Jade [Thirlwall] want tattoos but it’s whether they pluck up the courage to do it,” said Jesy, who has a few tattoos of her own, and revealed a large butterfly tattoo on her back in March. “I feel like they might chicken out.” Zayn obviously didn’t chicken out when it came down to honoring his girlfriend in a large tattoo on his arm though. In fact, he apparently had the ink all planned out beforehand. According to Zayn Malik’s tattoo artist, “He wanted to do like a punk rock-ish comic character. Like a girl that was kind of comic’d-up and had a little bit of a punk rock look to her.”
Perrie on Zayn’s Portrait Tat: “It is Weird…”
Some people probably think that Perrie was all for Zayn getting her portrait inked on his arm, but the truth is, Perrie had nothing to do with the tribute tattoo. In fact, the singer had no idea Zayn was planning to go under the needle in honor of their relationship, and she still hasn’t even had the opportunity to see the portrait tattoo. After finding out about Zayn Malik’s tattoo though, Perrie admitted, “It is weird…But it’s nice that every time he’s away from us, he just has to look and I’m there on his arm.” Since getting the ink, Zayn has faced some serious backlash from those who believe it was a big mistake. Jesy Nelson, however, approves of the romantic gesture, saying “I think that is majorly flattering.” So then, what’s your move, Perrie?
