Jesy Nelson, member of the British girl band Little Mix and band mate to Zayn Malik’s girlfriend Perrie Edwards, recently took to Twitter to show off two new additions to her tattoo collection – one inked on her arm and one inked in a circle around her thigh. Jesy shared pictures of her new tattoos on Little Mix’s official Twitter account earlier this week, asking fans: “do you notice anything different Mixers?” The first of Jesy Nelson’s tattoos is an inspirational phrase written in scrolling black script on her right bicep that reads, “Music is the strongest form of magic.” The other is another script phrase of a similar design that encircles the upper part of her right thigh and reads, “A tiger never loses sleep over the opinion of sheep.”

There’s something pop stars love about revealing their new tattoos in a dramatic or mysterious way (think Lady Gaga here), and Jesy Nelson is no different. Minutes after tweeting a picture of her new arm tattoo on Twitter on July 1, the singer posted another message that read, “The second will be revealed tomorrow” with a winky smiley face. We have to admit, there’s something kind of nice about comparing music to magic, and the arm tat means Jesy obviously hasn’t lost her passion for music and performing. The meaning behind Jesy Nelson’s other tattoo on her leg is similar to Little Mix’s track “Wings:”

Clearly, Jesy Nelson is saying with her “A tiger never loses sleep over the opinion of sheep” tattoo that she doesn’t plan on letting haters get her down. Good for her!
Little Mix Going Tat for Tat With 1D
Jesy Nelson’s two new tattoos come on the heels of the huge arm tat One Direction’s Zayn Malik debuted just last week, depicting a cartoonish version of his Little Mix girlfriend, Perrie Edwards. Zayn isn’t the only One Direction member that is obsessed with tattoos though; band mate Harry Styles already sports a whopping 43 tattoos inked across his body, including a brand-new black cross he had inked on his left hand on July 2. Some of the other One Direction boys are in the process of amping up their tattoo collection, although none of them can even compete with Harry Styles’ tattoos so far. Some people call the all-girl band Little Mix the female equivalent to One Direction, and now they have more in common than their British background and an appearance on The X Factor…a shared love for tattoos!
