Lily Allen is taking a much-needed break in Los Angeles after having completed the U.S. leg of her Sheezus world tour, and the pop star apparently took advantage of that time and treated herself to a brand-new wrist tattoo over the weekend. Lily Allen took to Instagram on October 25, to show off her new tattoo, which is located on the inside of her right wrist and features an outline of a map of the world inked in black and white. Lily Allen’s geographical tattoo was inked by the infamous Dr. Woo of the Shamrock Social Club tattoo shop in Hollywood, and joins several other tattoos Lily Allen already has, including a “Shh…” finger tat that matches Rihanna’s tattoo.
It was just before heading out on a shopping trip with her gal pals in Hollywood that Lily Allen showed off her new tattoo on Instagram, captioning the photo “World inc,” and including a shout-out to the talented Dr. Woo, who has also inked the likes of Drake, Ellie Goulding, Kelly Osbourne and Zelda Williams. Lily Allen’s tattoo of a map of the world is located directly below some ink she already had on her wrist featuring a series of symbols, including a smiley face, a moon and star, a cross, the Star of David and Homer Simpson’s head. In the photo she shared online, Lily’s wrist tattoo looked awfully red and sore, so it was definitely brand new.
Now that she has finished up her shows in the U.S., London-born Lily Allen is headed back to Europe to continue her Sheezus world tour, and we have a feeling her upcoming excursions could be the inspiration behind her new geographical tattoo. Following a few stops in France, Lily will then head to Germany, Belgium, the UK, China and Singapore, before bringing her tour to a close in February 2015. Like many pop stars, Lily Allen is a regular globe trotter, and, just like Katy Perry gets a new tattoo each time she begins another tour, it’s likely that Lily’s map of the world tattoo is a reminder of all of the places she has been and will still go during her Sheezus tour and the rest of her career.
