Her sister Khloe went and got a Lamar Odom tattoo on her hand and then filed for divorce from the disgraced basketball player, and her brother Rob’s ex-girlfriend underwent tattoo removal just this year to get his name removed from her rear-end after their breakup six years ago…so it’s no wonder Kylie Jenner has shied away from getting inked, despite her ongoing obsession with intricately-designed (but definitely fake) Sharpie tattoos. Truth be told though, it’s a recurring nightmare about getting a bad tattoo that has prevented Kylie Jenner from going under the needle, one that has her avoiding tattoo shops altogether when she goes shopping on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
Kylie and her older sister Kendall have flirted with tattoos a number of times during the past year, sharing snaps online of themselves with fake tats drawn on with Sharpie by their makeup artist and friend, Natalie Wood. So far, Kylie has sported a fake gun tattoo on her ribcage and a large crest-like tat on her left forearm. Sister Kendall has shown off a cool spinal cord tattoo running down her back and another back tattoo of a huge skull wearing a Native American tribal headdress. It seems like only a matter of time before Kylie goes under the needle for real, but that may not happen anytime soon, according to the Kardashian sister.
During a recent interview, Kylie explained the real reason she has get to get a real, honest-to-goodness tattoo, saying, “I have a fear of getting a bad tattoo. I have dreams about this all the time.” Although a recurring nightmare keeps her from getting inked herself, Kylie Jenner apparently isn’t afraid to put a permanent mark on others. Just last May, the 17-year-old helped a tattoo artist ink her initials on the hand of Lionel Richie’s son at a recording studio in Hollywood, alongside Khloe Kardashian and her inked-up new boyfriend French Montana. So, even though Kylie is apparently deathly afraid of getting a “bad tattoo,” we have a feeling the model and reality TV star will find herself in the tattoo chair before too long!
