After calling off their wedding in August and then reportedly moving back in together the following month, rumor has it that pop star Ciara and her rapper fiancé Future – real name Nayvadius – have broken off their engagement for good, and Ciara appears to have confirmed these rumors by flaunting what appears to be a partially removed “N” tattoo on her finger. On December 18, Ciara enjoyed a single night out on the town, and although she and Future are attempting to remain civil for their sake of their seven-month-old son, the pop star isn’t wasting any time erasing painful reminders of her ex-fiancé, including the “N” initial tattoo she had inked on her left-hand ring finger as a tribute to the rapper.
Ciara and Future have been plagued in recent months by rumors that the rapper cheated with his stylist, and while Ciara hasn’t addressed the alleged infidelity directly, sources say she was “humiliated” by the stories. The couple apparently attempted to repair their strained relationship in the midst of the cheating rumors, and Ciara was bursting with positivity back in September, when she tweeted the following message: “Sometimes You Have 2 Give Someone The #YoungPass. They Just Do Ignorant Things, Simply Because They’re Still Learning.. And That’s O.K. #PositiveThoughts #PositivityOnlyInMyWorld.” However, when the singer stepped out in L.A. this week, she was without her 15-carat engagement ring, and the “N” initial tattoo on her ring finger was noticeably lighter, probably due to laser removal.
There’s no telling whether or not Ciara and Future will get back together at some point in the…ahem…future, but in the meantime, the 28-year-old songstress is concentrating on taking care of their seven-month-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, who was born back in May. “They tried to work things out between them but [their relationship] could not be saved,” says one source about the couple’s troubles. “Ciara could not get over what happened. She is focusing on her baby and friends now. Her baby is the most important person in her life.” On that note, it’s too bad Ciara didn’t opt for an “F” tattoo for Future instead of an “N;” then she could have pulled a Malin Ackerman and transformed the tat into a tribute to her son instead!
