Back in November, Lindsay Lohan marked the beginning of her post-rehab recovery by covering up one of her tattoos, and now actress Amanda Bynes appears to be following in Li-Lo’s footsteps. Amanda, who was released from a mental health facility just last month, is busy getting her life back on track, and that includes removing a prominent tattoo of angel wings the 27-year-old had inked on her right forearm. According to sources close to the actress, Amanda has been hitting the gym, is looking healthier than ever, and even recently signed up for classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California, where she is reportedly settling into life as a student. Perhaps getting her angel wings tattoo removed is another step in her recovery process.
When Amanda Bynes first moved to New York City from Los Angeles in September 2012, she told People magazine at the time, “I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line.” Unfortunately, after starting a gasoline fire in the driveway of one of her parents’ neighbors last July, she ended up in a rehab center in California, where she sought treatment for schizophrenia and other mental health problems. Since checking out of rehab in December 2013, Amanda has been working to get her life back in order and, thanks to a few painful laser treatment sessions, the black and white angel wings tattoo that was once a prominent mark on her arm is now barely even visible.
It’s obvious that Amanda is desperately trying to shed any and all links to her troubled past, but why say goodbye to the angel wings tattoo? For most people, the meaning of an angel wings tattoo is protection, enlightenment, guidance or a tribute to a loved one. It’s a little strange that Amanda would say goodbye to a seemingly positive tattoo, but the ink was pretty poorly done, so that could be the reason she’s having it removed. In addition to her angel wings tat, Amanda Bynes has a few other tattoos to her name, including the rarely-seen Hebrew tat on her left arm that roughly translates to “We all have the same 24 hours in the day,” as well as a blue diamond and tiny black heart on her left wrist. No word on whether these tattoos are going to get the ax too, but then again, who ever knows what Amanda is going to do next??
What is that other tattoo on her bicep it seems like maybe a word. When she had on the blue wig if you look close on the same arm where the hebrew one and diamond and heart are there is another tiny one on the upper underarm bicep area
