Rihanna’s Hand & Finger Tattoos

Rihanna’s tattoos on her fingers are some of the most unique and intelligent of all her tats. Although finger tattoos have recently taken the world by storm, from finger mustaches to inked-on wedding bands, superstar Rihanna was probably one of the first to join the ranks of the finger-tattooed. Rihanna currently has two finger tattoos, one located on the middle finger of her left hand, and the other on the index finger of her right hand. Both of Rihanna’s finger tats were inked in 2008, and have the same lighthearted, flirty style as some of her other tattoos. Although Rihanna loves tattoos and has two finger tats herself, she warns that finger tattoos are extremely painful and doesn’t recommend getting one!

Many celebrities have inked their hands with all kinds of interesting tattoos. Khloe Kardashian, for example, has her husband’s initials tattooed on her right hand, and her husband has hers inked on his same hand. However, pop star Rihanna’s hand tattoo is one of the most unique hand tattoos out there. The intricate tribal dragon claw tattooed on the singer’s hand is distinctive because it wasn’t just inked in the normal tattoo fashion with needles and ink. Her hand tattoo is a traditional tat done in the style of the Maori people of New Zealand. The Maori people use chisels to imprint inked grooves in the skin, which causes the skin to be raised and rough instead of smooth like most tattoos. There are a lot of tribal tattoos out there, most of which should have been reconsidered, but RiRi’s hand tattoo is definitely one of a kind.
