We were all looking forward to seeing that new tattoo Miley Cyrus tweeted about getting in honor of her Bangerz debut, but apparently the “tattoo party” the singer had planned for October 7 didn’t work out after all. “I didn’t [get the tattoo], I chickened out,” Miley admitted during a recent interview with E! Online. “I decided just to hang out with my mom and we all watched it turn midnight…I was supposed to have a tattoo party and it fell through.” She may have missed out on getting some new ink, but the newly-single pop star wasn’t about to miss out on celebrating her album release altogether. She donned a skimpy satin pink bra and high-waisted skirt and partied it up in New York City the following evening. Now that’s more like it.
This isn’t the first time Miley has been unsure about how to mark an important moment in her life. When deciding how to celebrate her first-ever cover for Rolling Stone magazine, the singer said, “I thought about going to play laser tag. But laser tag sucks.” So, logically, she opted for a new tattoo instead. Miley Cyrus’ tattoo features the words “Rolling $tone” inked on the bottoms of her feet, and they were inked way back on August 29, so it’s no wonder she’s itching to get inked again!
We have to admit, we’re a little disappointed that Miley didn’t get a Bangerz-inspired tattoo, but maybe it’s because she’s bummed that obsessed fan Carl McCoid beat her to it. The 40-year-old Stan recently debuted a gigantic new tat on his upper back featuring the title of Miley’s newest album inked in red. Awkward…because now the singer is either going to have to copy Carl or think of another way to pay tribute to Bangerz. Now that could definitely get interesting.
Miley Cyrus may have decided against a tattoo in honor of her latest album, but the pop star’s 21st birthday is coming up on November 23, and we can’t imagine a better gift for herself than some brand-new birthday ink! Stay tuned to find out if she gives in to the temptation!
