The youngest Jenner girls are known for decorating themselves with authentic-looking Sharpie “tattoos”, but younger sis Kylie Jenner showed off some artwork on her arm this week that looks an awful lot like a real tattoo! Just last month, Kendall and Kylie Jenner made headlines when they each debuted fake Sharpie tattoos – Kendall getting a small antelope skull inked on her finger and Kylie going all in with a large gun inked on her side, Rihanna-style. On February 25, however, Kylie met up with some friends for dinner in Calabasas, California, and a picture posted to Instagram that day showed Kylie with what looks like a real, honest-to-goodness tattoo extending from wrist to elbow on her left forearm.
We would be really surprised if Kylie Jenner went under the needle for real, especially for such a large, visible piece, and especially because she’s only 16 years old (we can’t imagine Bruce was there to give his permission). Kylie has recently expressed her desire to forge her own path though, and getting an edgy new tattoo is definitely a good start! Even though Kylie and Kendall are two years apart in age, the sisters have been raised almost as twins, spending every waking moment together, and it appears they may be growing out of that phase. During an interview with Marie Claire Mexico, Kylie admitted “If [Kendall] got up in the middle of the night, I got up in the middle of the night. I literally couldn’t leave her side. We even matched everything we wore.” It’s going to be hard for Kendall to match Kylie now that she has a crazy big tattoo on her arm!
We can all appreciate Kylie’s efforts to set herself apart from her model sister Kendall (and the whole krazy Kardashian klan), and we have to admit that Kylie Jenner’s tattoo, which looks like some sort of black and white crest, is pretty bad ass. Sure, it could be a fake, but even if it is, Kylie is going bigger and bolder with her artwork, which hints at a real desire to get inked, don’t you think? Also, during that same interview with Marie Claire Mexico, when Kylie was discussing her desire to form her own identity apart from her older sister, the 16-year-old said, “Right now I love designing and I want to pursue that career once I turn 18.” Hmm…maybe she designed her own tattoo!
